Audio Plus once again provided United Music with a Funktion-One system for their annual show, Transmission.

Transmission 2011 - Digital Madness

The system largely stayed the same as the previous years, however a small difference in changing the Resolution 2′s to Resolution 4′s for infills was made by the system technician, Mark O’Neill.

Another change was to go from using a Midas XL4 to a DiGiCo SD8. The biggest benefit we saw in this change was to reduce the amount of digital to analogue conversions in the system. Everything was run in digital from the CDJ’s to the XTA’s with the only conversion to analogue coming out of the XTA to the amplifiers.

Underworld; Live – European Tour

Audio Plus supplied Underworld a FOH and Monitor system for the European leg of their tour promoting the new album, Barking.

Venues included the Heineken Music Hall (Amsterdam), Brixton o2 Academy, Manchester o2 Academy, Barrowland (Glasgow) and RDS Simmons Court (Dublin).

The system toured was 32 x Funktion-One Resolution 5′s, 12 x Funktion-One F221A’s, 10 x Funktion-One Resolution 4D’s, 2 x Funktion-One Resolution 2A’s. FOH engineer, John Newsham toured a Midas XL4 with a rack of inserts with the supports monitoring needs being catered for by a DiGiCo SD8 and RM18′s.

Transmission 2010 – o2 Arena, Prague

Audio Plus once again provided all the audio for Transmission 2010 at the o2 Arena in Prague. This years theme for the event was ‘Future Cities’.

The system was slightly changed from 2009′s show, this year the system consisted of 58 x Funktion-One Resolution 5′s, 40 x Funktion-One F221A’s, 16 Funktion-One Resolution 4D’s, 6 Funktion-One Resolution 2′s and for DJ monitoring consisted of 2 x Funktion-One Resolution 3′s with 2 x Funktion-One F121′s. Every part of the system was driven by XTA DP448 processing and MC2 E45′s.

Swedish House Mafia – Brixton Academy

Audio Plus have just finished a two date event at Brixton Academy with the widely known Swedish House Mafia. Building on the main priority to have a first class, clean and precise audio system for not only the audience but for the DJ’s was easily done using the Funktion-One products.

The two dates saw a total of 30 Funktion-One Resolution 5 Mid/Hi’s with 14 Funktion-One F221A subs. The system was controled by XTA processors and a wireless tablet PC running XTA’s control software, AudioCore. The Swedish House Mafia had a pair of Funktion-One RM18 and Funktion-One F218 Mk2′s as their monitoring. A DiGiCo SD8 was used simply for its outstanding sound quaility and extensive features.

La Roux – The Gold Tour 2010

After the 3 week tour around the UK, the equipment for the La Roux – Gold Tour 2010 is back in the warehouse. The tour saw the band play with supporting acts, I Blame Coco and James Woon.

Bangface Weekender 2010 – Camber Sands

Set in the seaside town of Camber, the Bangface crew again put on a brilliant show lasting the duration of the weekend for all of their raving influenced audience.

Audio Plus supplied audio solutions for all 3 rooms at the Pontins site. The main room saw a 4-stack system compromising of Funktion-One Resolution 5′s and matching F221A powered subs. The second room saw a similar system with only a 2 stack system deployed. The Queen Victoria had a Funktion-One Resolution 4 and F218 system installed for the duration of the event.
